Vehicles: Donate a car, truck, boat, RV or other vehicle to Cars for Homes™, Habitat for Humanity’s official car donation program, by calling 1-877-277-4344 toll free or clicking the above link. Vehicles do not need to be in running condition and can be picked up from your location. PLEASE be sure to designate your donation to HABITAT KANSAS CITY.

Stock Donations: Giving appreciated stock to Habitat Kansas City is a wonderful way to maximize your generosity, minimize capital gains taxes and help us continue our mission of building affordable, ownership houses and the communities that surround them.  For more information, please contact our development department.

Property: We can only build more Habitat KC houses if we have the land on which to build! Mortgages or physical property can both be donated. Please contact us if you have property you would like to donate.

Pro Bono Services: Habitat Kansas City needs professional services just like any other business. Current pro bono partners provide marketing, public relations, mortgage servicing, legal advice and licensed professional construction services. Please call our office to discuss how you may be able to partner with us in this way.

Recyclables: We recycle paper products and aluminum cans at our office to help raise money for homes. Bring your paper items (office paper, junk mail, newspapers, magazines, etc. - no cardboard or phone books please!) and aluminum cans when you volunteer and help raise money while you help build a house!   Cans are recycled thru the Cans for Habitat program. We also encourage you to place bins we provide at your church, office, school or special event to help us bring in more cans.  For more information, please contact our Outreach Coordinator.

In Kind: Supplies, tools, etc. that can be used in the construction and renovation of our homes reduce the cash costs of building.  Food donations will help us feed more neighborhood families through our pantry or can be donated to feed volunteers on our work sites.  School uniforms and school supplies will help our family partners' and other neighbors' children.  Office supplies and first aid kit supplies keep our daily operations flowing smoothly.  For a list of specific items we're looking for right now, please check the wish list (at the top of this page). To ask about a specific item you'd like to donate, you can contact our Director of Development.

New and used building materials (appliances, lumber, hardware, light fixtures, brick, etc.) should be donated to our Habitat ReStore.
Our ReStore collects those donations for resale to the general public (or they may be used on some of our construction projects).  Please check the ReStore website for the specific guidelines on what the store will accept. Large items can also be picked up.  Proceeds from ReStore help fund Habitat KC's housing program.
