Building on Faith projects are special events intended to help Habitat groups and the faith community focus on their ministry together and to ultimately build houses so that more people can have a decent place to live.

Traditionally, Building on Faith has been connected with the International Day of Prayer for Human Habitat and has been celebrated during the week preceding the third weekend in September. Because of this tradition, many Habitat for Humanity groups prefer to plan building events and celebrations with churches around this time.

Build on Faith is now spreading out into a season of building on faith starting at the end of June and ending with the day of prayer in September.
