Habitat for Humanity Kansas City is proud to have been serving the Kansas City community since 1979. We kicked off our anniversary celebrations with a birthday block party in October 2009 and the party continues thru October 2010! These are some of the events in store for 2010.
Make Change Campaign- this special campaign brings together people of all ages - businesses, churches, schools, families, etc. - to raise money little by little. We've got house shaped banks to help you collect your spare change throughout the year or you can make an online donation. Our goal is to collect $30,000 throughout this 30th anniversary year. Check out the Make Change page to get the details!
Build Season Kick Off - March 6, 2010 All of our Board members, staff, volunteers and supporters came together to meet each other and get introduced to our 2010 families. One of our Board members gave a brief review of how things went in 2009 and our exciting plans for 2010 - we've got a lot of great things happening here and are getting started!
Framing the Future - May 15, 2010 We invited some of our most loyal donors and new friends to this dinner at the Alexander Majors House & Park. It gave us a chance to talk, have some fun and share all of the exciting things that are happening here at Habitat KC! It was a great event and we're looking to make this a regular get together so watch for more news...
31st Birthday Concert in the Park - September 4, 2010 Last year we had a huge block party at our office to kick off our 30th anniversary celebration. This year we're moving the fun to South Kansas City as we celebrate our move into southtown with the development of Pritchard Place. We'll be out at Waddell Park for a concert, food, games, and more. Let's have some fun!
