September 22 through 28, 2008, up to fifteen volunteers from Habitat KC will set off to St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, to help with the ongoing rebuilding effort.

Although the memory of hurricanes Katrina and Rita have faded, the need has not.  Many families are still living in dilapidated FEMA trailers or unsafe, inadequate shelter.  The recovery effort is painfully slow for these families.
