The Parade of Playhouses event is coming together and will kick off our 30th Anniversary celebration in April 2009. This is a joint venture between KC metro Habitat affiliates to raise awareness of Habitat for Humanity's work in our area while raising money & having fun!

Playhouse sponsors will receive a playhouse shell in January 2009. They will be asked to “finish” the playhouse (perhaps in company colors? or working with a theme?), and display it on their site for the month of March. Playhouses will be collected in April to be displayed at Crown Center for 2-3 weeks.

On April 25th, 2009 we'll be hosting the large public event at Crown Center.  An estimated 30 colorful, unique children's playhouses will be displayed to create a miniature Habitat neighborhood.  While adults will be enjoying the detail and creativity that went into each playhouse, children will be inside them letting their imaginations go wild.  Each playhouse will have its own "agent" hosting the open house and pointing out the unique details of the home.  And more:

  - Entertainment
  - Judging and prizes for playhouse designers/sponsors
  - Family fun!
