For 2010 we're hosting social and volunteer events every month. We're also starting a membership program and looking to do some nicer events, including a wine tasting, Royals tailgate party, and beer tastings.
Our February social event is a Beer Pong Tournament! Tuesday, February 23rd at 7 pm we'll be out at the Velvet Dog (400 E 31st at Martini Corner). $10 per person to play, 2 person teams and double elimination. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Habitat KC to go towards the HYP House and winners will get some really great prizes - like CASH! For more information, email HYP@habitatkc.org. If you're not really a beer drinking, just come hang out with us and cheer on your favorite teams!

Habitat Young Professionals Kansas City is a group that engages young professionals (ages 21-40) in the work of Habitat Kansas City. We get together for networking and happy hours, have build days on the Habitat KC construction sites, and host other fun events! This is a group for people who are looking to get involved in their community, make the world better, have some fun and make new friends all at the same time.
Everyone is invited to attend our happy hours & volunteer days. If you choose to become a member, you'll receive discounts on event cover charges, a Habitat KC t-shirt, get preference for volunteer opportunities and get invited to members only events. Dues are $100 a year (lump sum) or $10 a month automatically charged to a credit card. Our goal is to eventually raise enough money to buid a "HYP House" with Habitat KC.
