Would you like to have someone from Habitat for Humanity Kansas City give a presentation to one of your groups?  Did you know that we have a Speaker’s Bureau that will do that any time for free?  We've put together a group of volunteers, staff, and homeowners who are trained on all (well, most) things Habitat KC – including ReStore.  If you’d like someone to speak with your class, church group, or office, just  call or email the Outreach Coordinator to work out the details. We’ll need to know things like day/date and time, how long a presentation you’d like, what specific topics you’d like covered (if any), and about how many people we’ll be speaking to.   Speakers may be available any day of the week, morning, afternoon or evening and if you have special requests, we’ll do our best to meet them. Specific topics you may want to highlight include:
   - Recycling Programs (Cans for Habitat)
   - Homeownership Program (how to own a Habitat home)
   - How to get involved and volunteer
   - AmeriCorps program
   - Family services (ways we work with families beyond simply building a home with them)
   - Youth programs
   - Fundraising ideas

Would you like to join our group of Speakers? Our group meets regularly to keep you up to date on staff, programs, and upcoming events.  We generally anticipate you spending an average of 2 hours a month.  You may be asked to do a presentation to a group or to staff a booth at a community fair, home show, or other event.  We will train you on the information to share, but you should already be comfortable talking with a variety of people in different situations.  For more information, please contact our Outreach Coordinator.
